As all Provence’s villages, Sainte-Maxime takes a trip down memory lane the whole year with historical events, which were then linked to changing seasons and pastoral activities. These are therefore occasions to pull together, have fun, enjoy life and forget a while daily difficulties.

What can be seen today as folklore is really considered and felt by the native “Provençaux” with emotion. They commemorate these traditions with deep emotion and they have become popular celebrations.
