About 8 km long the beaches of Sainte-Maxime offer perfect shores and soft sand
all over a well-known Mediterranean sea free from tides and therefore perfect for children.
In the west
Under surveillance, public and private beaches of La Croisette offer to sun lovers its soft sand. They invite for relaxation and nautical activities.
Children from 8 years old can have sailing classes or training and upgrading sessions.
From May 28 till October 2, the emergency post of La Croisette is operational.
You also have at your disposal a non protected beach located at Guerrevielle.
At the centre
From May 28 to October 2, the casino’s beach, also under surveillance, is opened. It is orientated South and face Saint-Tropez. It offers a magnificent view of the gulf.
You also have the non protected beach of La Madrague, located at the exit of Sainte-Maxime towards Saint-Raphäel. It’s a succession of creeks ideal for diving (rock fish can be seen).
In the East
The beaches of La Nartelle, La Garonnette and of the “Elephants”.
The “Elephants” beach is one of the well-known, thanks to the comic strip “Le voyage de Babar” by Jean de Bruloff, published in 1932.
The author then lived in that area of Sainte-Maxime and was inspired by the magnificent landscape. It helped illustrate the famous honeymoon by balloon (“mongolfière” in France) of Babar and his heavenly wife.
